Connect groups happen after someone realizes and understands that the Christian life you are being called to is personal, but it is not to be lived alone. We want everyone to find a small group of people who we can walk through life with.
What should I expect from Connect Groups?
Connect Groups are made up of about 8-15 people and typically meet in someone's home. Due to the unique needs of these groups, each group decides on their meeting day, time, and frequency. Connect Groups are not "joined" as much as they are "started." After meeting people in a Wednesday Circle, Sunday Worship, or other place in our church, a few individuals/couples decide to start a Connect Group. A typical schedule for a Connect Group is two hours, one for sharing a meal and conversation, one for study, prayer, and accountability.
A Community on Mission
We want our connect groups to be more than a social club. We want these groups to view themselves as a community of believers on mission. To stay outward focused while we are growing in depth with others in our group, we expect every Connect Group to have a "Kingdom Cause" they adopt. Groups will decide on a group (either inside the church or in our community) to serve and care for.
